Privacy Policy

Our company is part of the Hatton Designs of London group which includes International Precision Casting Supplies Ltd (UK) and International Precision Casting Supplies Inc (US). This privacy policy explains how our organisation uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website or engage with our business.

1. What data do we collect?

You directly provide IPCS with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback
  • Contact us by email, phone, or via our website
  • Attend or participate in a meeting that is recorded with your prior consent
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies

We may also receive your data indirectly from social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) where you interact with our official company accounts.

2. Lawful basis for processing (UK)

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:

  • Contract: to process your orders and manage your account
  • Legitimate interests: to maintain business records, respond to enquiries, and improve our services
  • Consent: for marketing communications and for the recording of meetings — you may withdraw consent at any time
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to retain or share data by law

3. How will we use your data?

IPCS collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your orders and manage your account
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Send you information about products and services we think you may be interested in, where you have consented to receive such communications
  • Send customer satisfaction surveys
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Improve our website, products, and services

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your personal details with our supply chain unless you have given specific permission.

When IPCS processes your order, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

4. How do we store your data?

IPCS securely stores your data on secured servers located in the United Kingdom and the United States. Where data is transferred between our UK and US entities, appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses where required under UK GDPR.

Some of our approved software tools — including Fireflies AI (used for meeting transcription) — process data on servers outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place as required by UK GDPR Article 46.

Retention period: We will keep your personal data for five years from the date of our last interaction with you, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Meeting recordings are deleted within 3 days. Meeting summaries are retained for no longer than 6 months unless required for legal or contractual purposes. Once the applicable retention period has expired, we will securely delete your data.

5. Marketing

IPCS and the HDL Group would like to send you information about products and services that we think you might like. We will only do so where you have given your consent.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may opt out at any time by emailing dataprotectionUK@ipcs-uk.com or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You have the right at any time to stop IPCS from contacting you for marketing purposes.
